Pemberton District High School’s student’s thoughts on the importance of Philosophy in the
curriculum:
•I have learnt to give reasons for what I believe. (Yr 2)
•I like Philosophy lessons because I like hearing other people’s opinions. I also like it because
it gets you to think harder than you normally do (Yr 4)
•I have learnt that it’s OK to say your opinion even if it’s different to the person next to you.
I have also learnt that it’s OK to change your mind. And not everyone thinks alike. I have
also learnt that philosophy is a great subject. (Yr 8)
